PRINCIPAL PROJECTS OF THE ORGANISATION

In Youth group, we focus on serving opportunity to share the time with many nationalities for Japanese and exchange students. We have one exchange program once in a month at least which is usually decided on meeting by Youth staff. It doesn't necessarily follow that program always concern about UNESCO. We take that exchange program with different people (culture, nationality, religion, and everything) make new friendship and it will help to have international understanding and international corporation. Our activity always include foreigners and spend a time together. According to this concept, we have many approaches to help UNESCO activity such as, visiting historical place, having sports, watching fire works, having a camp for 3 days, setting up a party. We always take time more or less 30 min and explain about UNESCO spirits and our activities to participants. For Youth group, retreat which is camp for 3 days in public facility in country side is biggest program. We start preparing for retreat since mid of April and have meeting for 4 hours every Sunday. The concept, theme, activities, reservation of facility are performed by Youth. The retreat consist of discussion, lecture, camp fire, sports and group activities. According to the concept and theme, the topic of discussion and lecture are fixed such as Environment, Culture, Friendship, and so on. Language is basically Japanese but we try to translate as much as possible into English or Japanese. The method of discussion and lecture is different each year. Usually, 70 to 80 participants enjoy this retreat and 60% are Japanese and rest of 40% are foreigners. Most of them are students and supposed to be below 35 age. We make reunion game a week later of retreat and spend some time in part and watch big fire works. We take encounter is just a beginning of the friendship and UNESCO activities. Most of staff have been retreat and become member.
