To mark the International Year of Biodiversity, Unescocat and the mineral water brand Aigua de Viladrau have signed an agreement to raise awareness among consumers about the need to protect biological diversity. The campaign recommends consumer habits that are more sustainable and respectful of the environment on the labels of its bottles of water.

Aigua de Viladrau has incorporated the Unescocat logo on the labels, which now include Catalan, in line with Unescocat's priority action to promote cultural and linguistic diversity.

As part of this agreement, Unescocat has participated as an observer in the international pilot audit "Respecting biodiversity" carried out by the European Centre for Nature Conservation (ECNC) at the Aigua de Viladrau site, which is also committed to using the water in a way that is more sustainable and respectful of the Montseny Natural Park ecosystem, where the installations are situated.
