The president Ernest Benach hosted a ceremony to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia. Presentations were also made by n the director and president of Unescocat as well as Jacques Rao, director of Relations with UNESCO Member States. The first Unescocat Prize was awarded to the musicians Jordi Savall and Montserrat Figueras during this institutional ceremony.
