Espai Africa

Series of conferences on Africans in Catalonia

26/11/2010

Espai Àfrica-Catalunya, with the support of the Secretariate for Immigration of the Catalan Government and the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia, launches a series of conferences throughout Catalonia to discuss about the African presence in our country, which is also theirs.

The conferences, in which the participation the audience is welcome, offer an introduction to the characteristics of African populations in Catalonia and an explanation of their inner complexity. The conferences will also address the interaction of these populations with the host country, and underline all that they have in common with the Catalan population, which is much more that what differenciates them.

With these conferences Espai Àfrica-Catalunya pledges its commitment to an intercultural society of which Africans from Catalonia are a constituent part.
