The Youth Secretariat of the Catalan Government presents the report "Measures for the improvement, recognition and support of community-based non formal learning, resulting from the reflexions of an experts meeting in which Miquel Àngel Essomba took part

Non formal learning organisations carry out a task that is critical for social cohesion and for the consolidation of the country. The creation of an Advisory Committee to Support Non Formal Learning Associations responds to the the will to protect, support and impulse a model of community-based non formal learning and to ensure a stable background so that these associations can display all their potential.

For months the expert of the Committee have met to identify the challenges this youth movement is facing right now and to discuss about the better ways to tackle them. This document compiles strategic guidelines aimed at offering major support and recognition to learning organisations and to the thousands of young people that spend part of their free time educating children and teenagers. It is a starting point to be used as a reference document for the implementation of concrete measures and actions.
