Unescocat's department of sustainable development will coordinate two workshops on sustainable environment at the Youth Camp Atlantis VI devoted to social inclusion
The Centre for Cooperation in the Mediterranean (CCM), in partnership with the French Red Cross, is organising the sixth edition of the ATLANTIS youth camp in Marseille, France, the last week of July. ATLANTIS is an encounter of the Mediterranean Youth of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent which has consolidated itself as a mandatory meeting point for intercultural dialogue and exchange of experiences in the region. The 2010 Edition of ATLANTIS will be devoted to topics regarding social inclusion in the Mediterranean area, from different perspectives like sustainability, youth work, migrations or violence, with a view to consolidate the capacities of the sixty young people participating in these fields and thus encourage the implementation of practical actions related to social inclusion in each of the national societies where they come from through new initiatives and creative contributions from youth.
The workshops coordinated by Montserrat Besnard, from Unescocat, will give them knowledge and guidelines to identify ways of contributing to social inclusion taking into account aspects like climate change, sustainable consumption, water, corporate social responsibility, etc.
