UNESCO Association for Interreligious Dialogue

Part of Unescocat’s activity in interreligious dialogue is channelled through the UNESCO Association for Interreligious Dialogue (AUDIR), founded in 1997 on the initiative of the Centre. It was constituted as an independent organisation in 1999 and officially recognised in January 2000.

AUDIR is a multi-faith body that brings together and mobilises more than two hundred people from different religious traditions.

The major activities of AUDIR, mostly coorganised with the Department of Diversity and Interreligious Dialogue are:

  • Interfaith choir
  • Catalan Network of organisations for interreligious dialogue
  • Interreligious dialogue groups
  • “Mirades en diàleg” (Perspectives in dialogue) exhibition
  • World Aids Day event
  • The quarterly magazine Dialogal, which aims to increase knowledge of the different traditions and religions found in Catalonia and around the world, as well as secular views.
