Unescocat has an agreement with the Directorate General for the Prison System and Resources of the Catalan Ministry of Justice, signed in November 2008, in order to carry out several educational awareness raising projects on diversity and human rights in Catalan prisons. The actions focused on the creation of permanent dialogue groups between different convictions in Barcelona Women’s Prison, Figueres prison and the Quatre Camins prison, with groups made up of between ten and fifteen prisoners; the organisation of roundtables on music and spirituality in the Joves Trinitat Vella, Girona and Ponent de Lleida prisons; the exhibition “Mirades en diàleg” (Perspectives in dialogue) in the Brians 1 prison and Barcelona Men’s Prison.
