Unescocat is one of the promoters of Film and Human Rights Festival of Barcelona, ​​directed by Toni Navarro and organized by La Mirada Descubierta, who remains faithful to a twofold commitment: firstly, to promote and create opportunities for the dissemination and exhibition of cinematographic works that address human rights and, on the other hand, to raise awareness and strengthen respect for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through the dissemination of these works.

The ninth edition of the Film and Human Rights Festival of Barcelona is supported by an unprecedented event's success, which translates into about 3,000 audiovisual works received from around the world.


The Ninth Festival of Cinema and Human Rights will be held in Barcelona from 17 to 22 May 2012 at the following locations in the Catalan capital:

The Festival will present a total of 112 films, belonging to the genres of fiction, animation and documentary.
