On the occasion of the DENIP – School Day for Non Violence and Peace, commemorated every 30 January, the Friends of UNESCO in Girona organize Planting Peace 2012 with the following activities:

• Friday 27, 10 am

Visit of the Peace Gardens in Girona, located in the premises of the GEiEG of Palau, with pupils of 6th grade of the Migdia school of Girona.

Reading of poems related to the trees of Planting Peace 2007-2012 – olive tree, cypress, oak, laurel, almond and plane tree.

• Saturday 28, 4 pm

Peace planting action 2012 at the Devesa park in Girona. Reading of poems created for the occasion about the plane trees and the Devesa park. Coordinated by Lluís Lucero. Authors: Francesc Compte, Imma d’Espona, Xavier Díez, Rosa Font, Joan Gratacòs, Carme Jordi, Lluís Lucero, Carme Muñoz, Rosa Ma. Noguer,Isabel Oliva, Marcel Riera and Consol Vidal.

• Monday 30, 8 pm

At the Hotel d’Entitats of Girona, conference on science and peace by Lluís Serra Camó, university professor of genetics, professor emeritus of the University of Barcelona.
