Following the interprofessional meetings held in Salt (2002) on social inclusion and in Calafell (2005) on books and reading, the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia and the Catalan Group of UNESCO-Associated Libraries organised an interprofessional meeting on the potential of libraries as educating agents.
